A Ministry With More Than 50 Years of History
America’s Christian Newspaper: A Ministry With More Than 50 Years of History began more than 50 years ago as a small one-page letter featuring powerful sermons and a personal letter from Evangelist Howard “Bud” Tingle.
Later, after Brother Tingle became a pastor in Madisonville, Kentucky, he expanded the one-page newsletter into America’s Christian Newspaper.
In 1975, Pastor Tingle rented a small storefront building and began The Little Mission Church. In 1977, he built Christian Tabernacle Church in Madisonville, Kentucky, where he faithfully served as pastor until his passing in 2016.
Pastor Tingle also began the Western Kentucky Camp Meeting, which later became the Western Kentucky Youth Conference, bringing hundreds of people from across the United States together for worship, preaching, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement.
Today, Howard Tingle Jr. serves as pastor of Christian Tabernacle, continuing the ministry established by his father.
Gail Huddleston has served as editor of America’s Christian Newspaper since 2013, helping continue the newspaper’s mission of sharing Christian teaching, testimonies, sermons, and the Gospel.
